Production of sawn timber

The company operates a number of core and auxiliary production shops that make up a single production chain.

The company has a timber harvesting area that harvests timber from a leased forest plot as well as a sawmill that makes sawn timber in accordance with European standards using cutting-edge equipment.

The company's round timber cutting capacity is 300,000 cubic metres per year. The company procures raw materials both in-house and from external suppliers year round, with pinewood making up 75% of total supplies, the other 25% being spruce. The company can produce both standard sawn timber as well as sawn timber made to specific customer specifications.

Karelian Wood Company's products are classified in accordance with the Nordic Timber Rules or in accordance with specific customer requirements. Saw timber has special labels on the butt ends of the planks to allow the products to be easily identified in the market.

The advantages we offer include timely delivery, a broad range of cross-sections, special drying modes to get a moisture content of 10-12-14-16-18%, plus a C24-C30 visual strength assessment.

The company harvests timber in large leased forest plots, plots leased by other tenants in the Republic of Karelia and buys other timber harvested in the same region. The company also uses its own due diligence system to ensure the quality of the timber it ships to clients.
